I’ve been working on a new tattoo design for myself. It is meant to go on my upper left arm and wrap around. It is based on wallpaper patterns and 1900 decorative print work from Germany. The symmetry is not exact, birds on the left are in a different positions than the ones on the right, same for some of the flowers.
I’m probably going to work on a simplified version, with larger elements and less details so here is the ‘before’ version, and some of the earlier versions. (Click to enlarge).

Note the angry samourai face in the middle :)
Version 3 - Cutting down and refining the details
Next step: simplification! The project continues….
